Gazprom, Sibur to coop in Tatarstan, Yamalo-Nenets gas projects
MOSCOW, Oct 3 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom and petrochemical holding Sibur have signed two roadmaps for cooperation in large investment projects in gas processing and gas chemistry in the republic of Tatarstan and in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, Gazprom said in a statement on Thursday.
“Under the first document, feasibility analysis will be done for transportation of ethane-bearing gas from the fields of the Nadym-Pur-Tazovsky region and for construction of a gas processing plant in the republic of Tatarstan. Under the second road map, diagnostic works, engineering survey, and design documentation should be prepared for completion of construction of the Novy Urengoy gas chemical facility in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District,” Gazprom said.
The two companies will decide on further cooperation under the projects after the roadmaps have been finished.
Gazprom also signed a letter of intent with Irkutsk Oil Company over joint exploration of fields in the Krasnoyarsk Region. The two companies plan to explore, produce, transport, refine, and sell hydrocarbons from the Sobinskoye, and Paiginskoye fields and the Paiginsky sites in the region, the gas giant said in a separate statement.
